Welcome to The Nest, a Genuine Tree House, Perfect for the Holiday with a Difference

Our guests describe the experience better than we can:-

‘We came last minute to get away from the noise and pollution of the busy city life and it was everything we had hoped for!  It was the best night’s sleep we have had in months in this little piece of heaven.  Beautiful weather and absolutely beautiful surroundings, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!  Thanks so much.
Sarah & Vinesh (& 20 week bump!), July 2018

Everything is beautiful; we will remember this during the winter months and smile.  Thank you.’
Scott & Sharun, June 2018

‘Came to pass a difficult landmark in peace and tranquillity.  What a wonderful place to decompress!  The Nest is beautiful, everything necessary.  We have just sat on the veranda and let all the tension of the everyday world melt away.  Love the way the treehouse gently rocks.  Thank you for your welcome, your beautiful treehouse and enabling us to step out of the world and breathe easy for a little while.’
Alan & Mel, June 2018

‘Such a beautiful little ‘Nest’ we have enjoyed every minute here.  So lovely to spend time staying in a real treehouse in our own little bubble and away from busy everyday life……  I have loved my birthday surprise.’

If you have always dreamt of staying in a genuine tree house then this is the holiday for you.  Situated in the Blackdown Hills, Devon, ‘The Nest’ is perched approximately 9 metres (30 feet) high in a mature English oak tree, within an ancient broadleaved wood.

‘The Nest’ provides a unique experience ideal for couples looking for a romantic break, or just an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  Also providing a perfect base from which to explore the area, Exeter and Taunton are within easy driving distance, and the Jurassic Coast is nearby.

On arrival you will find plenty of parking.  After a short walk through the woods, following the curve of the path, there, rising above you is a large English oak tree.  On looking further up towards the sky embracing the trunk is the remarkable tree house.  Rising up the spiral staircase you step onto the decking balcony, ideal for those al fresco meals or just relaxing and enjoying the peace and serenity of the location.  Immediately off the balcony is the living area, within which is the kitchen, dining area and double bed all made cosy by the wood burning stove. Also just off the balcony, is a fully equipped bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet.

‘The Nest’ is beautifully built to a luxurious standard, fully suspended in its oak tree, with cedar cladding and timber construction, it fits well in the peaceful woodland and sets the scene for a memorable holiday.
