Welcome to The Nest, a Genuine Tree House, Perfect for the Holiday with a Difference

Our guests describe the experience better than we can:-

‘A little piece of heaven at the farm,
Tranquil, relaxing and ever so calm,
   Away from the rat race,
    At a much slower pace,
     Peaceful and still,
A gentle walk up a hill,
      Time to spend together,
       Regardless of the weather,
The soft sound of the wind in the trees,
        The nothingness but the breeze,
A home in the tree is the life for me,
A home in the Nest is the life I love best.
                                 Thank you  X’

‘A great place to relax and unwind.  Amazing us of space inside ‘The Nest’.  Early mornings are great with the sun on you….  Bird songs are great.  Spotted a buzzard fly over the field.  Thank you.’

If you have always dreamt of staying in a genuine tree house then this is the holiday for you.  Situated in the Blackdown Hills, Devon, ‘The Nest’ is perched approximately 9 metres (30 feet) high in a mature English oak tree, within an ancient broadleaved wood.

‘The Nest’ provides a unique experience ideal for couples looking for a romantic break, or just an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  Also providing a perfect base from which to explore the area, Exeter and Taunton are within easy driving distance, and the Jurassic Coast is nearby.

On arrival you will find plenty of parking.  After a short walk through the woods, following the curve of the path, there, rising above you is a large English oak tree.  On looking further up towards the sky embracing the trunk is the remarkable tree house.  Rising up the spiral staircase you step onto the decking balcony, ideal for those al fresco meals or just relaxing and enjoying the peace and serenity of the location.  Immediately off the balcony is the living area, within which is the kitchen, dining area and double bed all made cosy by the wood burning stove. Also just off the balcony, is a fully equipped bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet.

‘The Nest’ is beautifully built to a luxurious standard, fully suspended in its oak tree, with cedar cladding and timber construction, it fits well in the peaceful woodland and sets the scene for a memorable holiday.
